Cup Weaving 2016

This term we have been focused on weaving as our project, as shown below. This was made from some wool and a cardboard/paper cup. First you get a cup, then get the template below and draw on the rim of your cup wherever there is a line. Then choose some wool of any colour, rule down to the end of the cup. Then cut don the lines. Tie a knot in the end of the wool and put it down one of the cuts. Then start weaving in and out ,in and out. If you want to change the wool colours then simply cut it short tuck it in and tie a knot in the next type of wool and just carry on like starting over again.

I Am

I am a girl who loves all animals.

I wonder if the world will end in my time.

I hear the wind whispering my name.

I see the clouds wrapping around earth.

I want a horse to care for and to have fun with.

I am a girl who loves all animals.

I pretend my bike is a horse galloping away.

I feel the sun’s warmth beam through me.

I touch the world with my heart.

I worry that there will be a third World War.

I cry when animal cruelty has been done.

I am a girl who loves all animals.

I  understand that no one is perfect not even myself.

I say be grateful with what you’ve got.

I dream that death didn't exist.

I try to do my best at everything I do.

I hope that the challenges that life throw at me don't break me.

Grilled cheese on toast

The dreadful burnt-toast taste is like eating coal, it lingers in my mouth for hours. Its golden oily topping makes me gag as it slides down my throat. The sizzling popping noise is repetitive. The crunchy toast can be heard quite clearly.

The cheesy smell is easily mistaken for the cheese on toast to be a delicious meal.The golden melted cheese is a beautiful colour but the toast is not a great colour. Clear bubbles form in the warm dripping cheese. Burnt-toast crumbs stick to greasy fingers from the melted cheese. YUK! 

Zentangle art

Last term  and this term (term 2 & 3) my class has been doing zentangle for art with Miss Lyon and they turned out better than we thought they would. Instead of putting zentangle in the letter we dyed them red, green or blue or if we wanted we could multi coloured the pieces of art. 31.07.15

Gymfest

On Tuesday all the girls in room 4 and one boy went down to Balclutha to take part in the gym fest
my score in vault was 7.5 my score in floor was 7.0  and my score on beam was 7.5.
